Dear colleagues!

 

Council of young researches and specialists of NWSMU n.a. I.I. Mechnikov invites you to take part in the Scientific and Practical Conference of young scientists "Translational medicine: from theory to practice", which will be held on April 22, 2015 at Piskarevsky pr. 47, 9 pavilion (Assembly Hall). The Conference will begin at 10:00 am, at 9:30 am registration of participants.
 

Translational medicine is a new stage in the development of medicine, including the implementation of the results of research activities from fundamental and applied research into practice.


The results of the scientific activity of young University researches will be presented at the Conference. The aim of the Conference is the exchange of experience among young scientists and experts in various fields of modern medicine.


To participate in the Conference you should send an application form and abstracts to the e-mail of the Department for research organization and development of NWSMU n.a. I.I. Mechnikov (nir@szgmu.ru) till April 4, 2015. The exhibition of poster reports (reports for poster session could be included in the application) will be held within the Conference. Please note that the age of the first author of the report should not exceed 35 years.


The best papers published in the conference proceedings will be submitted to the contest "U.M.N.I.K." ("Participant of youth scientific and innovation competition"). This program is aimed on grant support of young people engaged in scientific activity. To participate in the contest "U.M.N.I.K." could be nominated only those papers, the first author's age of which does not exceed 28 years. The program is conducted by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (including in the category "Medicine and Pharmacology"). Site of the Foundation - www.fasie.ru. Young researches of the University participate in this contest for 5 years and received more than 15 grants.


Requirements for abstracts


The abstract should summarize the results of scientific research. Text should be typed in MS Word, up to 1 A4 page, font Times New Roman, size 12, single line spacing, text in width, all fields - 1.5 cm. The use of hyphenation is not allowed.
 

Line 1: Title of the work. Printed in capital letters, without quotation marks, hyphenation and dots. Reduction in the title of the work is not allowed. Title should be centered.


Line 2: Full name of authors. Initials are after the family name. Printed in lower case (small) letters, bold-faced type, centered. NB: The first author is a young researcher under 35 years old; for participation in the contest U.M.N.I.K. the age of the first author should not exceed 28 years.


Line 3: name of the institution, city. Abbreviations are not applicable. Printed in lower case (small letters), non bold-faced type, centered.
 

Line 4: academic degree, academic title, full name of the scientific supervisor. Printed in lower case (small) letters, non bold-faced type, centered. ATTENTION: there is no need to indicate position of trainer (assistant, senior lecturer, etc.)!

 

Line 5: interspace.

Line 6 and then the text.

The aim(aims) of work, materials and methods of its carrying-out (including statistics), results and conclusions should be performed and bold-faced as subtitles in the abstracts. The use of tables is possible. Links and references are not allowed.
 

The files with the application form and the abstracts should be titled as the surname and name of the first author indicating the content: 1st file - Ivanov I.I. thesis; 2nd file - Ivanov I.I. application form.

 

Participation in the Conference and abstracts publication are free!
 

Please draw your attention that materials received after 04/04/2015 and structured not in accordance with the requirements will not be considered.
