«Wonderful forum! Great deal of emotion! A lot of new friends!» wrote the participants of the IV All-Russian Forum of students from medical and pharmaceutical universities of Russia, which took place in St. Petersburg from 23 to 25 March 2015.


Forum was held for the fourth time by the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation and all four times in Saint-Petersburg, at North-Western State Medical University

Best of the best students from all medical and pharmaceutical universities, postgraduate education institutions and colleges founded by the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation, Minister of Public Health V.I. Skvortsova, Deputy Minister I.N. Kagramanyan, Director of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy T.V. Semenova took part in the Forum.

Three days of the Forum were saturated with very interesting activities. The Forum program is traditionally based on the most acute students’ problems and "hot" issues noted by the participants of the previous Forum. This year four topics were offered for discussion at the round tables: "Research directions in educational organizations", "Extracurricular activity of trainees", "Quality assessment of education in medical universities", "The role of student organizations in the university activity". The workshops, trainings, schools, flash mobs on the city streets, which draw attention to prevention of cardiovascular disorders, large excursion and social program, as well as sport events were arranged. For the first time in the framework of the Forum were held exhibitions of thematic projects prepared by students. The first exhibition is "Victory! 70 years", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War. The second one was devoted to the year of fight against cardiovascular diseases. The best presented projects were identified according to the results of viewers voting and the winners received certificates and gifts.

 

Culmination was the meeting of the Forum participants with the Minister of Public Health, Associate Member of RAS, Professor Veronika Skvortsova. At the meeting the participants of the Forum discussed directly with the Minister their issues, asked questions of their interest.

 

The "Ethics Charter of the student" and final resolution were adopted at the end of the Forum.

 

Media briefing with Minister V.I. Skvortsova for press and TV representatives was held after the closing ceremony of the Forum in the University Art Gallery.
