On November 23 in NWSMU named after I.I.Mechnikov took place the workshop «Modern standards of surgical clothing and medical linen» where was presented the report of Lorenzo Piludu, President of Creazioni Futura (Italy) on advantages of surgical clothing and medical linen made from synthetic fabric.

On November 29 was held a candidate nomination for the named grant of Prof. Eichwald.

Awarding ceremony of contest «Student of the year» was held on November 21 in Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. The contest is conducted annually among St.Petersburg universities to choose the most promising, successful students in various fields.

On October 19 in North-Western State Medical University named after I.I.Mechnikov took place Russian-Japanese seminar «Patient-oriented approach. Practical experience of Japan».

On October 3-4 North-Western State Medical University named after I.I.Mechnikov held All-Russian conference with international participation «Clinical recommendations as basis for physicians’ medical activity» dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Department of Family medicine.

On November 20-22 North-Western State Medical University named after I.I.Mechnikov hold All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation « Optimal medial therapy in cardiology» under the auspice of Health Committee of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Russian Society of Cardiology and St.-Petersburg Scientific Society of Cardiology.

On October 12 North-Western State Medical University named after I.I.Mechnikov hosted solemn ceremony dedicated to 5th anniversary of the University.

On September 29-30 North-Western State Medical University named after I.I.Mechnikov held XVIII All-Russian scientific-practical conference with international participation «Davidenkov readings» under the auspice of the Ministry of Health, Health Committee of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Russian society of neurologists and St. Petersburg association of neurologists .
