Preparatory courses for foreign citizens
During preparatory courses, foreign citizens learn Russian and, as part of their university preparation, study natural science subjects.
Training is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 1304 dated October 3, 2014 "On approval of requirements for additional educational programmes providing the training of foreign citizens and stateless people to master professional educational programmes in the Russian language".
The University offers two types of programs:
University entrance preparation
The aim of this program for foreign citizens is to learn the Russian language and to develop the ability and readiness to communicate both in writing and verbally, to meet basic communication needs when interacting with native speakers in social, cultural, professional and educational spheres of communication, and partially in business (according to the level of language proficiency).
In addition, students are offered classes in certain subjects (chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics), required for training in Russian medical universities. During classes, they study science terminology in Russian; systematize background knowledge; bridge their educational gaps; deepen knowledge that is needed for studying related disciplines; acquire skills of practical work, note-taking and individual work with academic literature.
Target audience: Foreign citizens, non-Russian speakers, intending to study at NWSMU named after I. I. Mechnikov or other natural science universities in Russia.
Tuition fee: 195 000 rubles
Please note that the fee does not include accommodation, visa fees or health insurance.
Russian for foreign postgraduate applicants
In this program, special attention is paid to the development of the students' skills in working with academic and scientific text in Russian, in particular, the grammatical features of a scientific text, the analysis of its structure, referencing a scientific text, and ways of reproducing it in Russian. In addition, knowledge of basic medical terminology in Russian is formed, as well as speaking vocabulary.
Target audience: Foreign postgraduate applicants, non-Russian speakers, intending to study at NWSMU named after I. I. Mechnikov or other medical universities in Russia.
Tuition fee: 200 000 rubles
Upon successful completion of the program and final certification, foreign citizens receive the Certificate.
