The III All-Russian Forum of students from medical and pharmaceutical universities of Russia was held 11 - 12, March 2014.

The Forum was attended by the Minister of Public Health of the Russian Federation Veronika I. Skvortsova, the Deputy Minister of Public Health Igor N. Kagramanyan, the Director of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy in the Ministry of Public Health Tatiana V. Semenova, the Chairman of the Public Health Committee of the Government of Saint-Petersburg Valery M. Kolabutin, the Chairman of the Public Health Committee of Leningrad region Archil A. Lobjanidze, the Chairman of the interregional public organization "Board of Rectors of Russian medical and pharmaceutical universities" Gennady P. Kotelnikov, the Rector of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov Petr V. Glybochko, the Cochairman of the Russian Union of Student Organizations Dmitry S. Prokopyev, the Rector of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov Otari G. Khurtsilava, students from 46 medical and pharmaceutical universities and 4 Institutions for postgraduate doctoral studies of the Russian Federation.

During the Forum were highlighted the following questions:

1. Current state of medical education and ways to improve the quality of training of medical and pharmaceutical specialists.

2. The role of student associations to participate in educational, scientific, social and other fields of educational organizations.

3. Employment and social safety net of graduates from medical and pharmaceutical institutes.

Within the frame of the event it was held a briefing with Veronika I. Skvortsova, the Minister of Public Health. During the briefing she shared her impressions of the forum: "The Forum was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere, with business mood for normal structural work. The questions were well thought out and prepared. The forum was held in the format of good partnership dialogue".
