On September 4-5 the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov accepted the delegation from Harbin Medical University (China), headed by Prof. Yang Baofeng, President of Harbin Medical University. The delegation included Prof. Cao Depin, Vice President of Harbin Medical University, Prof. Sun Changhao, Dean of Public Health school of Harbin Medical University, Prof. Liu Lianxin, Vice Dean of the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, Prof. Zhang Fengmin, Dean of Basic medical school of Harbin Medical University, as well as Prof. Ma Hua.

 


On September 4 it was signed an Agreement on cooperation during the fruitful meeting of Rector O.G. Khurtsilava with the Chinese delegation. Both Rectors highlighted the importance of maintaining friendly relations between our universities and outlined the main directions of work and a possibility of further working visits. The target of further cooperation will be close cooperation in scientific and educational fields: joint research projects, participation in the conferences organized by the universities, staff exchanges in the frame of academic mobility as well as short-term student exchanges.

 

 

After the meeting it was organized an excursion about the clinical and academic departments of the University as well as in the History Museum of NWSMU.

 

 

The main event of the second day was the visit to the Research Institute of Medical Mycology named after P.N. Kashkin, where it was organized an excursion about various departments of the Research Institute. In the conference room Prof. Vasilieva N.V., Prof. Raznatovskiy K.I., Taraskina A.E. successfully presented their reports in​​ the innovative research directions.

Visit of the delegation took place shortly after the entrance of NWSMU to the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities. It is a reminder that RCAMU was created on July 1 in Harbin at the initiative of V.I. Skvortsova, Minister of Health Care of the Russian Federation. On September 2 the meeting of the Permanent Council of RCAMU took place on the base of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, where our university was represented by Prof. N.V. Vasilyeva, Director of the Research Institute of Medical Mycology named after P.N. Kashkin.
