On June 7 were held annual solemn events within the Memorial Day of the University’s founders dating back to the opening of the Clinical Institute of Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna (June 3, 1855).

            This year, as a part of the commemoration of the University’s founders  were laid flowers and given the speeches dedicated to the 140th  Anniversary of Vladimir M. Bekhterev- founder of the Psychoneurological Institute, 180th  Anniversary of Eduard E. Eichwald- first director of Clinical Institute, 185th  Anniversary of Sergey P.Botkin- outstanding physician,190th anniversary of Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna.

            The celebration was attended by the University staff, young scientists and students headed by Rector, Otari G. Khurtsilava and President Vadim I.Mazurov.
