The first workshop was held at North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov in the frame of cooperation with Japanese partners: Nagasaki University and Fukushima Medical University.

On January 25 – February 1, 2019 it has been carried out the Japanese-Russian workshop in “Biostatistics” organized by the team of the Department for International Affairs, North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov for students from Japanese Universities and University in Saint-Petersburg.

Professor Sviatoslav Plavinskii, Head of the Department of Pedagogics, Philosophy and Law, delivered the course of lectures, which help young researchers to get acquainted and master new approaches of statistical analysis and data processing, applied in the majority of studies in Public Health.
