An internship for the student from Kazakhstan took place at North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov

The 2nd year master student from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan) Aizada Ziyasheva had an internship at North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov from 15 to 30 April 2022.

Professors and lecturers of the Neurology and Food Hygiene Departments gave lectures and practical classes as part of the internship.

Besides, the student visited the museum of the University history and the museum of the Forensic Medicine Department, where the Head of the Department Eugene S. Mishin presented the unique exposition.

At the end of the internship, Aizada shared her impressions:

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov for the provided opportunity to realize my potential and undergo scientific training on the topic of my final thesis.

This was my first time in St. Petersburg. They [University staff] took care of me from the moment I arrived <...> and did not make me feel lonely in another city. Every member of the University staff I met was friendly. The teaching staff are diligent in their work. Thanks to their patient work, I acquired important skills and knowledge in just two weeks. The University impresses both with its extensive and well-developed facilities, the conditions created for comfortable learning, and its long history. Another advantage of the University is the comfortable and beautiful campus.

When it comes to St Petersburg, it is a city you want to return to.  Every street has its own story to tell. The scale of the city mesmerizes and makes you to discover how it breathes and lives…”
