NWSMU Students Shine at the «I-See Radathon 2025» in Orenburg

On January 31, a delegation from North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov (NWSMU), including ten talented students and the Head of the International Department, Natalya Koroleva, traveled from Saint Petersburg to Orenburg to participate in the prestigious Federal Open Student Olympiad in Radiology, «I-See Radathon 2025». Now in its second year, this highly competitive event was hosted by Orenburg State Medical University and brought together some of the brightest minds in radiology.

NWSMU was proudly represented by two teams, who demonstrated their exceptional knowledge, skills, and dedication in the field of radiology.

The Olympiad featured a rigorous and intellectually demanding competition, comprising six teams and four challenging rounds, each designed to test the participants' expertise in various aspects of radiology. Under the mentorship and guidance of their Scientific Supervisor, V.V. Otochkin, our students showcased the depth of their training, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

 

The competition was an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a spirit of camaraderie, making it an incredibly rewarding event for all participants.

Despite the high level of competition, our students achieved outstanding results, securing 2nd place overall and earning a 1st place diploma for the best video presentation — a testament to their hard work, creativity, and teamwork.
