INVITATION AND VISA

 

Please make sure you submit your documents for invitation in advance

 

In order to apply for a study visa to enter the Russian Federation, please send a package of documents to the University Department of Visa Support and Migration Registration via email ovir@szgmu.ru:

1. Standard Request for an invitation

2. Application form for a visa invitation

3. A photocopy of all the filled-in pages of your passport

4. A photocopy of a notarized translation of your passport

5. If you are residing in a country of which you are not a citizen, please provide copies of the documents that give you the right to reside there (a document granting the right of permanent residence).

 

Please note that the University does not charge a fee for the invitation

 

The invitation (in electronic form) will be sent to the e-mail address indicated in the application form.

Based on the application form, the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation in the country of residence will issue you a single-entry visa to enter Russia. The visa will be issued to you in accordance with the dates given in the invitation.

Once your visa has been processed, please notify the University of the date of your arrival in St Petersburg via email ovir@szgmu.ru.

On the arrival day by 17:00 (5 p.m.) or the next business day you should visit the Department of Visa Support and Migration Registration at 47 Piskarevskiy Prospect (building 32, 1 floor, room 12) to be registered at the University.

 

DEADLINES FOR INVITATION DOCUMENTS IN 2023

  • Applicants for specialist and bachelor’s programs (Russian-taught): 17 April – June 20

Visa validity period (approx.): 31 July – 28 October

 

Applicants for General Medicine (EMI): 8 May  – 4 July

Visa validity period (approx.): 15 August – 12 November

 

Additionally: invitation documents can be submitted from 3 July to 29 August, visa validity period (approx.): 9 October – 6 January
