How to get to the University Tuition fees

                   

Document Submission for Invitation in 2026

Please note: Receiving an invitation does NOT mean you have been accepted by the Admissions Committee or enrolled in the university.

 

Admission is organized in the following ways:

1. Within state-funded quotas– allocated by the Federal Agency for Education through the Directorate of International Education and Cooperation.

2. Under international agreements– specifically for citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan (based on the agreement of February 11, 1997). These applicants are processed by the university's Admissions Committee and registered with the Visa Support and Migration Office.

3. On a fee-paying basis– under a contract covering tuition, accommodation, and health insurance.

Applicants under 18 must provide a parent's consent letter.

Important Information for Incoming International Students

The Visa Support and Migration Office handles all immigration-related matters for international students, including:

  • Preparing documents for entry invitations to Russia and submitting them to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg.
  • Registering international students for migration purposes if they live in university dormitories.
  • Extending stay permits for visa-required nationals (issuing multiple-entry visas) and for CIS citizens (extending migration cards).
  • Submitting documents to the local MIA offices to deregister students when they leave their place of stay.
  • Preparing documents for students leaving Russia upon graduation or early withdrawal.

What to Do Upon Arrival in Russia

On your first day in Russia (except weekends), you must come to Room 12 of the Visa Support and Migration Office (located at Piskaryovsky Ave. 47, Building 32 (AE)) and bring the following documents:

  • Your passport
  • A notarized translation of your passport
  • Your migration card with the border crossing stamp showing the date and the purpose of entry as "study"
  • 4 photos (3x4 cm, black-and-white or color)

If You Live in a University Dormitory

The Visa Office staff will register you for migration purposes once you present the above documents along with your dormitory contract.

If You Live Outside the University Dormitory

You must register at your actual place of residence (where you sleep and rest) on your own and then bring the same set of documents to the University's Visa Office. If you change your address, you must notify the Visa Office immediately.

 

When to Immediately Contact the Visa Office

If you lose any documents (passport, migration card, registration notice) – report it to the local police station immediately, then come to the Visa Office with a police report.

If your phone number or email changes - update your contact information with the Visa Office.

If your place of stay changes (e.g., moving to another dorm, checking into a hotel/hostel, going to a hospital etc.) – you must notify the Visa Office within 24 hours. Staying at such places will automatically cancel your previous registration. When leaving that place, be sure to take the detachable part of your registration notice so you can re-register at your new address.
